I don't think you do. Anyone who can afford to spend $100k on a hobby is in the top 0.5% of the wealthiest in the world. And at least in the top 5% in America. If wealth and poverty are on a linear scale on opposite ends I'd say anyone 5% from the extreme could be considered wealthy.

do you sharpen that with an angle grinder? because that's what the edge looks like. The problem with thos echeap knives is not that hey can't be got sharp (they can) but that most of them are really thick behind the edge. That IKEA knife is pretty good. Thinner behind the edge than many knives costing several times as much, and a decent profile and weight distribution to boot. Edge retention is also decent. The shape of the handle isn't very important anon, because a knife is properly held in a pinch grip, with the balade pinched between indexfinger and thumb, with only the last three fingers lightly wrapped round the handle. Pretty much any shape and form will suffice for that

True Story. I made the sushi (the knife performed beautifully)

I made 5 types, I was a bit heavy handed with the rice, but I figured it out by the end.

Afterwards I got soo kissed. Then fucked for over an hour. Then again before I left in the morning.

Thanks op for inspiring me to buy a cheap Yamigawa.

Can somebody give me a quick rundown on Sakai Takayuki knives? I'm looking for a 6" petty knife and they are right in my price range & available in Canada. Pic related, it's one of them.

$400 headphones can last several years. I think I spent $350 on some and I don't regret it. The ear pads can be replaced if they get too cheesy, or barriers can be used.

Wusthof Ikon Chef's knife here.
Best kitchen related purchase I have ever made, highly recommend.
It's hefty and very well balanced, keeps sharpness too.
It also screams quality.

210mm usu ba

Start with this knife, yet it will not be until second year for cutting. Washing rice and watching ryo ri jin is first. Most important is bring orientation of kouhai. Study hard to become greatly!

De ba is not needed until year 5 and yana gi is not needed until year 10.
