But try sapphire and then red label Bombay and you’ll see the original Bombay is one of the best Gins all around.
Sapphire is inferior yes, but it’s really not garbage, it’s just not excellent in any way and very milquetoast.

I personally like to add two dashes of Orange bitters to my G&Ts, desu. It makes up for using cheap tonic (by balancing the sweetness), and ups the citrus taste and spice from the gin. I really like this one. It's like half the price of beefeater yet the taste is very pleasant and smooth. It's more citrusy and less bitter than many gins, so I think even people who dislike gin would like New Amsterdam.
