I'm fucking tired of these idiotic brainlets ruining our culinary culture. They should be eradicated.

You think a spork is superior?
A utensil that's a shitty fork, and an even shittier spoon, mashed together. It's the autism of utensils.

Spoons are underrated. Forks and knives get all the respect, but spoons are universally used by eastern and western society.

Cant see how big that spoon is, but it looks like a teaspoon, or possibly a chef's plating spoon.

I've noticed flips use spoons for everything. The older ones told me it's because of all the GI mess kits that were left behind during the war and reconstruction. Guess they were eating with their hands before then.

I'll be honest, I'm pretty picky about spoons.

The bowl has to have the right shape - it needs to be and deep enough to hold a decent amount of soup, but not too large so it feels awkward to fit in my mouth, or so deep that I have to tip it at a jaunty angle to use.

It has to be thick enough to be sturdy, but not so think that it is unable to properly scrape/scoop small items.

It has to have a handle that is large enough to be comfortable, but no so large to be intrusive.

It has to be made out of durable materials that will resist rust and corrosion for decades.

Spoons are pretty good, but it's hard to find a good spoon.

Yes. You scoop the solids with it and drink the soup. Taht's how you eat miso soup. You can eat porridge with it too.

Old men in asia still use it for rice porridge. You scoop a bit but scoop it fast. Toppings such as eggs, tofu, or youtiau (fried doughnut) also helps to lift the amount of porridge. The trick is to eat it when it is hot, since the porridge is thicker. When it is less thick, do it like soup.
>>9820681
It is not a chopstick when it is a stick. Neverthless you can do it as westerners do, stabbing things and eat it.
