Probably tastes ok but that plating looks like something from a 1970s cook book

its a shitty phone picture taken somewhere with poor lighting, how do people not get that all those cool pictures they see on social media are taken with a profesional digital camera?

I don't know, but something about that guy's avatar makes me think he has big, luscious breasts.

the only way this plating makes any sense is if its an appetizer at a big table, and even then.

Also the cucumbers piss me off. WHY ARE THERE CUCUMBERS HANGING OUT UNDER THE RICE?

Is that fish? Is it supposed to be deconstructed sushi?

The food looks like it's probably alright but 1. they should just trash that presentation and 2. they should consider making a side out of some Japanese style cucumbers instead of sitting the rice on a couple slices.

I'm guessing it's seared ahi tuna steaks, which is not a Japanese preparation. They're more likely trying to make something Hawaiian (or Pacific fusion). Seared tuna is mostly flavored by the crust, and perhaps also by a marinade, with the sauces just adding a little extra zing.

But yeah that plating is TERRIBLE.

Plating is bad and the photo obviously sucks but I'm sure it tastes fine.
