So recently I went alone to eat at a diner in my town during my lunch break, I ordered a water and an egg skillet.
a baby at the table beside threw his bowl of tomato soup onto my shirt so at that point I just up and left before my food arrived.
a day later I get a facebook message from the restaurant somehow saying they will press charges for dining and dashing if I don’t come in and pay.

would what I did even be considered a dine and dash since I didn’t even eat any of the food?
at most it was just a prick move.

even if you didn’t eat anything they still wasted resources preparing it you faggot.

Tell the restaurant that you never got your food, make up some bullshit about never taking a picture of it before you ate it if you need to too.

Next time tell the parent their baby threw their food at you, unless you're dealing with a hoodrat who's running around with three little monsters there's a good chance they'll be apologetic.

This is an interesting question. In some states, merely entering a place with the mere intention to commit felony or theft (including dine and dash) constitutes burglary, so that might be what they're threatening you with. But I'm no legal expert, so you'd better ask around for genuine legal counsel.

OP's story didn't happen. This is a privacy troll thread. No one gives a shit about an egg dish that wasn't paid for...
However, you could have very easily thrown money down before leaving, or signalling someone over to explain to cancel the order, you're going home to change. I bet they would have packed it to go, and offered some apology, and then you'd be friends with management, not some villain that can't come back.

This is what you should do in this situation (I doubt this happened to OP). With something as cheap as an egg skillet, they'd probably give you the meal for free as well.

Kek. According to OP's bullshit story they knew him well enough to already be on facebook with him.

The dumbass probably shared his location on facebook before he went and tagged the restaurant's official page in the post, it wouldn't be that hard for them to find him in that case.
