Why do people insist on adding ground beef to the pan after they've already fried off the onions, peppers, carrots, celery or whatever? I see this in every single Tasty style video.

The meat doesn't reach the point where the water evaporates and it starts frying in its own fat again resulting in it having that pasty, greasy texture unless you drain the fat, which they never do.

You also don't develop a fond, which the veg later essentially deglazes and absorbs, making it taste even better.

There is plenty of time for the vegetables to cook once the meat reaches the point where it starts frying again.

I don't know what a "tasty style video" is, would that be like the tumbeler you people were complaining about a few years back? Realistically it would depend on the recipe and the ground beef itself. Fat isn't a bad thing, and in general (though, as I said it depends on the recipe) you wouldn't add meat until the water content of the vegetables has been reduced significantly.

I fail to see why "you don't develop a fond", maybe you should use a pan for grownups instead of teflon, which is supposed to be reserved for a few niche tasks

Why do twitter addict millennials think that they can extrapolate from their obscure, brain damaged corner of the internet and assume that's how the world works?

Yes they get the order very wrong in those videos. Frying off mince always comes first. Same with curries and them adding it in raw on top of the stock base or whatever instead of cooking it at the start

I have no idea what or who the fuck "tasty" is, as far as most people are concerned it's an adjective. Assuming it's being used as a proper noun here, it would conventionally be capitalized.

Then why did you not google "tasty video" before commenting retard.
We all know you have seen them, we have all seen them before. Stop pretending to be too cool.

if you fry the mince first and don't remove it it will overcook.

obviously the best solution is to fry mince, remove it and add back in later. but that takes time. most home recipes basically sacrifice browning for convenience. the depth of flavour from heavy browning is what people go to restaurants for

You cook the onions garilic and mushrooms with olive oil first until they're translucent because:

>1) It makes whatever you're cooking, without exception, smell amazing.
>2) As you brown the hamburger, at minimum you're going to have garlic an onion taste throughout, which is good for tards who don't stir seasoning in correctly
>3) That's the way my italian grandma cooks everything and that bitch cooks like a machine.

Because liquid from the beef will keep the onions etc. from carmalizing properly. If you just throw it all in at once, the juices will boil everything instead of carmalizing.
