Why is hotel food so damn good? Post the best room service you've ever had and at what hotel

>veggie flatbread
>embassy suites
>zucchini, squash, pickle, tomato, cucumber sauteed and lemon drizzled
>on top a flatbread coated with hummus

ps embassy hotel is the cheapest gaudiest garbage ever. it looks nice but the quality of everything but the food and towels is trash. holiday inn is better

Hotels are just restaurants you can sleep at.

Hotels are great to eat at. Make me feel like a goddamn king cause I know it's both the least efficient way form of shelter and sustenance.

>Why is hotel food so damn good? Post the best room service you've ever had and at what hotel
I realize you mean this to be one statement, but it shouldn't be.
Room service is universally bad because when you put a sneeze guard/stackable keep-warm lid on something just cooked, it's the equivalent of steaming food away from all the original textures.
Hotel food, by definition, can be some of the best in the world. When you consider a chain's reputation is worthy of the best chef, profits be damned, you will have quality chefs to handle that high priced conferences and weddings that might book the venue, but also to show off a flagship property without the chain, and because some of your best customers, the kind that book over and over on business or suites, will expect the best.
So, if you travel often, don't be so quick to leave the hotel for the right meal, you just might be at the best in your location already. One thing is also assured, when third world traveling, you have a facility washing veggies and fruit in filtered water, washing plates in steam, and a standard above the messes outside of the high end place.

I was at a hotel once and ordered a $17 bacon cheeseburger to my room. The bacon was proper thick cut shit but overall it was underwhelming for the price. I stay at a lot of upper class places and this is typically my experience. High prices and not really getting what you pay for. Sometimes they try hard, like I ordered bacon and eggs once and recieved a dinky plate of deviled eggs and a slice of pork belly. As usual the presentation is nice and I give them credit for trying, but for the love of god I just wanted a normal breakfast to start my day and I fucking hate deviled eggs. Hate them.

They didn't even tell you on the menu the eggs were going to be deviled? How does that happen? Weirdest egg service thing I've ever heard of.

>in Mexico on vacation
>merely 13 years of age
>parents order us all flan on room service
>base floor restaurant employee brings it all up
>puts some kind of liquor in the sauce portion for my parents
>about to leave
>slips half a shot into mine
>winks
>leaves

>go to all inclusive hotel for 4 days
>they have a variety of "restaurants"
>all of them are shit except the Buffet
>get diarrhea that hasnt gone away.

the food was delicious in that buffet one but holy shit idk what i picked up.

>go to "mexican" restaurant
>order a stuffed chile (which is a poblano filled with picadillo and slighlty fried with an egg cover

it was a fucking tiny jalapeno, it did have the meat but not the cover on it

i legit laughed at that shit. didnt take a pic though, the best thing in that place were the fish tacos.

>order chips and guac, server brings salsa in
>check out that one its p good he says
>try it
>tastes like fucking peanut butter and not spicy at all
god damn. at least the other salsa was good.

the main problem with the places was everything was so slow and since everything was already paid servings sizes were too small to prevent loss obviously

No, its not. I lived there for years, place is legit as fuck. Delta is where it's at, not the Cascades

my fave thing though is that now that im poor, you can easily crash their nice outside pool and hot tub if you enter the hotel with a swimsuit on ;)

Honestly, as long as you dress like a 40 year old white dad, you can camp there forever....literally don't be a nigger, white trash, or loud or drunk and security don't give a fuck...

it's almost as if you blend in and don't cause a problem, nobody notices; been doing it since 2003

Stayed at the Best Western Deluxe in South San Antonio for three nights recently. The free breakfast buffet was damn good. Eggs, sausage, biscuits, gravy, refried beans, cereal, waffles, fruit, muffins, and other stuff I didn't even look at. Coffee, milk, and three kinds of fruit juice.

The bed was the most comfortable I've ever slept in.

$105 per night.
