So how does subway works? I know you can get all veggies and sauces wihtout extra charge. But what about meats and cheese? I assume every extra meat and cheese costs extra? Also, do they differ in price?

There was a news report last year saying most Subway locations shipment of vegetables only once a week, and they're already wilted when they get off the supply truck, let alone 6 days from the delivery.

Also, according to CBC News, Subway's chicken is more than 50% soy. Subway threatened to sue for libel after the broadcast, but has yet to actually sue after more than a year has past (probably because the court would verify that their "chicken" is more than 50% soy).

I briefly worked in a subway in the UK. All salad/sauce is free, extra meats or cheese costs extra.
The extra meats differ in price depending on what you get, so extra steak would cost more than extra ham for example.
But subway is an awful shitty fast food place so spend your money elsewhere. "Eat fresh" is total bs, all the meat is kept frozen and the salad is delivered pre cut in plastic bags kept in the fridge for way too long.
The meat is just about the lowest quality they can get away with too.

That depends on the franchise. When I worked at subway we got our vegetables from local sources twice a week, and anything that was starting to look wilted was thrown out immediately. The chicken is a lot of textured vegetable/soy protein, which is why it's spongy and gross. The roasted chicken was real chicken though.

There's a menu where you pick what type of sub you want, and the sandwich master engineer asks you what type of bread. You pick from a list glued to the glass case full of meat. Then they assemble it and ask what type of cheese and whether you want it toasted. Then you pick out which veggies and sauce you want. They wrap it up, you pay, then you eat a disappointing sandwich.

Real talk bros I found out last 4/20 the best way to make your subway sub the best, get it double toasted. Like i was high af and thought it would be lit if i asked them to toast my sub one more time at the very end because i was so toasted myself I needed my sub to match. I like to go to subway and order a meatball sub with double meat, double cheese, and extra sauce, and get it toasted. last time i went to subway they didn't have half of the breads and then the girl asked me if i want my sub toasted and with cheese and i said yes and then she asked me which one and i was like both but she actually meant which cheese and then put two cheeses on the sandwich and i was too embarrassed to correct it wven though i only wanted one cheese what a horrible experience subway is not a good place

but anyway at least that time having two cheeses didn't cost extra so that was a good thing
