Why do people hail in n out as the second coming of Jesus or something?
Like, it's pretty good but I could also probably get the same burger and fries from Wendy's for about the same price and their burger and fries would taste better. Does in n out just suck in utah? Am I missing out on California in n out or something?

>> No.11179483

in-n-out is not the best burger ever made, but it is the best cheap burger. The thing is, burgers should be cheap fast food. In-n-out exemplifies this. It is not gourmet, you could very easily elevate the dish and make something better, but that's not the point. In-n-out makes the best example of what a traditional burger should be. This includes Utah locations; I've eaten at those more often than any other state's.

Wendy's is shit tier

It's nothing special, but it's definitely better than Wendy's or any of the other big chains. People who grew up in California are just really obstinate about it being the best thing ever for some reason, even though most places in California have really great, non fast food, food.

It's because of the memory versus on the bottom of the cups.

Imagine being THIS MAD at fast food

>> No.11179663

It's mostly nostalgia and regional pride. It's a great fast food burger and all, but for me, it's fueled by memories of going to a cool, retro burger joint and getting handed a cool hat and a thick delicious shake as a kid.

On top of that, In n out' s are almost always well maintained, and the employees get hella benefits and pay, so most want to be there and carry it into their work. Lastly, ordering from the secret menu feels cool as fuck the first couple times.

I didn't even know they made it to Utah. Enjoy you're mediocrity. Here in L.A. we have better shit and I never visit In N Out.

Utah is nice because the booming economy allows a lot of competition. You can get good food for cheap.
That said, >>11179483 is completely right. It's the standard for burgers, like Costco is the standard for pizza.

probably because you're a bobfaget

Its pretty simple, dipshit, you can't get a burger like that anywhere else. Nor can you the fries. Nor can you does any other place do such crazy special orders like its actually on the menu.

THINK. Dipshit, THINK.

California expat here. Culver's is just as good, if not better

>best cheap burger
basically this

in-n-out's prices are highly competitive even with wendy's, and the ingredients are fresher/higher quality than probably many restaurants due to the small menu and high customer turnover. the burgers are assembled by people getting paid above minimum wage overseen by highly compensated managers, and thus they almost never fuck up

>> No.11179837

>>11179813
That's not entirely true. At least not where I live.
>>11179667
There's quite a few in Utah actually. I know there's one in American fork, one in Ogden, one in North Salt Lake, and I'm pretty sure there's at least a few more out here.
