Your favorite food distributor?

For me, it's Sysco. I know when I go into a restaurant supplied by Sysco, I'm in for a good meal with my crew. IMO their potaties are their best item, what do you think /ck/?

Personally, I prefer to eat at restaurants directly owned by Sysco rather than merely being supplied by them. It's really the only way to know you're getting quality

Sysco shill detected.
Your overpriced garbage is an insult to food distributors.
Literally bottom of the barrel overpriced bullshit because Sysco refuses to keep their corporate bloat under control.

Yeah peak cuisine in the roadkill category.
I've worked in several kitchens that ordered from Sysco, and every single one of them hated that we had to use it because the products are one step above literal feces.

They are both shit.
Use a local food distributor.
Unless you live in a urban sprawl or mountain area you probably have a bunch of small to mid-size farms in your area.
Just call them up, you would be surprised the deals you can cut with them if you have some sort of truck to transport.
I used to do runs down the mountain for our veggies from this mid size farm, we would get our shit for 60 cents on the dollar Sysco would charge.

>> No.11351177

I don't get the hate. Between US Foods and Sysco you can get almost anything you want. Granted a lot of the top tier shit will be more expensive than a local source, but it can be a life saver sometimes. Yes, they also carry every level of quality, down to shit tier. "Farm to table only" fags don't live in reality outside their bubble of hipster/hippie ideals.

For me, it's the McChicken. The best fast food sandwich. I even ask for extra McChicken sauce packets and the staff is so friendly and more than willing to oblige.

One time I asked for McChicken sauce packets and they gave me three. I said, "Wow, three for free!" and the nice friendly McDonald's worker laughed and said, "I'm going to call you 3-for-free!".

Now the staff greets me with "hey it's 3-for-free!" and ALWAYS give me three packets. It's such a fun and cool atmosphere at my local McDonald's restaurant, I go there at least 3 times a week for lunch and a large iced coffee with milk instead of cream, 1-2 times for breakfast on the weekend, and maybe once for dinner when I'm in a rush but want a great meal that is affordable, fast, and can match my daily nutritional needs.

I even dip my fries in McChicken sauce, it's delicious! What a great restaurant.

If I see any of these megacorporate supplier's trucks outside a restaurant I immediately make a mental note never to eat there and I'm not alone. It's why the boomer "family" restaurants are dropping like flies, no one except boomers accept paying 5X the price for reheated frozen shit that you can find in the walmart freezers if you're stupid enough to want it.
