I never understood judging a chain establishment's service the experience at a single location, some exployees just don't give all that much of a shit and are able to get away with it if the managers aren't ontop of things, speaking from experience of being a shitty worker in the past and working with one now

Service workers aren't real people ya idiot! They're just robots manufactured by the companies themselves, that's why it's socially acceptable to be uncharacteristically nasty to them if they make one little slip as small as not quadruple bagging your purchase of a single box of Kleenex or making them wait in line for more than a minute, which is totally undersrandable though, it's not like they have fun sized computers with remote internet connection in their fucking pockets that they could use to distract themselves

The correct answer is; it depends.
The franchise owner makes all the difference.
The DQ in my small, back water, boondocks, Alabama town got shut down by the county department of health, because massive food poisoning and unsanitary conditions. Eventually, it got so bad that DQ pulled the franchise and put'em outta bid-niz. (nasty white trash fucks).
Different franchise owner, in Birmingham, equals or exceeds any other fast food franchise around, because the owner gives a shit.

I used to live in a small ass farm town with only DQ and Subway for fast foodm
and DQ > Subway out there
since moved to a bigger city with many fast food joints, haven't been to any lately tho, trying to save money and cook at home and pack a lunch to work, mmm turkey sandwiches.
