How do we improve the big mac?

>> No.11836560

huh?

>> No.11836564

the bun is definitely the weakest part. but the bun has to be that level of quality to not outshine the low quality meat. so idk if you can change anything without something becoming unbalanced and ridiculed.

Like real cheese it needs heating. I didn't take into account that the burger patties were thinner than the usual kind I get, so I should have heated them on the grill this time. For thicker patties (or real meat) the heat of the burger can be enough.

Use quarter pounder sized patties & bun, and get rid of the middle bun (the club).

they essentially did this with the "grand big mac", though the patties were 1/6th lb. It was okay, just fucking huge. definitely agree to keep smaller bun

replace the iceberg by romaine lettuce. get higher quality buns but maybe use something thinner for the middle, akin to a smashed slice of bread. Add more sauce (use that middle part for something) and maybe a single layer of bacon but im not certain. Also add caramelized onions.

Just improve the patties. Those skinny grey flavorless discs are what brings it down.
Instead of pressing the meat flat against a grill until all the flavor is gone, I'd gently mix the meat with a panade and some meaty seasoning, maybe a little cumin in there. Same amount of meat will be thicker and juicier and tastier. Sear the patties so they're med/med-rare with a good crust on them.
Not exactly rocket science.
