I feel like if they were both clear like sprite or any other clear sodas, they wouldn't be compared to one another. They just share the same color and similar branding.

This. Even those who prefer Dr. Pepper over the two should know that it's the same exact thing as Coke/Pepsi as well.

I saw someone say no for the first time recently. They got Dr. Pepper instead.

That is exactly why she asked if Pepsi was okay, you fucking faggot. If she thought they were the same goddamn strain of carbonated piss, she wouldn't have asked and would have just served whatever she had.

>> No.11876690

obviously they're not the same but restaurants only carry either pepsi or coke, never both
you're retarded for ordering coke in a restaurant that serves pepsi.

Licensing deal with the distributors. Generally, they pick either Coke products, or Pepsi products, but not both. Look at Taco Bell, they sell a shitload of Baja Blast, but they can't carry Coke for the same reason.

Yeah I'm going to say bullshit on that. Pepsi and Coke are functionally similar, but dr pepper has a unique flavor different from the other two. Case in point, ifnI made an American rum and coke would Pepsi it would be hard to tell, if I made it with Dr. Pepper it would be obvious from the first sip.

You have two options

>"thanks, I'll have something else then"
The waitress isn't being yelled at and you don't end up being filmed and uploaded to facebook for the world to make fun of you. Everyone wins.

It's just carbonated water with sugar you idiot. Yeah, sugar gives you cancer, about as much as oxygen does.
