Double the salt. That's what all restaurants do, which leads our brains to expect too much salt as the lower bar and we become incapable of tasting flavor without it.

Salt
VINEGAR

Acidity is just as important as salt is, so never ever skip lemons, limes, vinegar, etc when a recipe calls for it. If a recipe doesn't have a single source of acidity its probably trash desu.

Add more salt and flavourful fats like olive oil, butter, lard or whatever you have on hand, I can tell you this is the secret to all the "flavorful" cuisines out there. eg: Indian cuisine use ghee like other cultures use water.

Like everyone said, add more salt. More pepper, and they also make a peppercorn medley that tastes better than just black, but I use both. Hot sauce is nice, I have lots of different kinds but only one that will blow my head off. Try gator hammock and pepper plant hot sauce. You can get good flavor in a hot sauce without it killing your butthole.
