Trust me, you would have just been disappointed. Jelly donuts are one of those foods that sounds good on paper, but in reality sucks. They're always overly sweet and way overfilled with gross fruit-esque paste and the whole thing falls apart after one bite.

I got trolled the other day in Durham, NC. There's a place near Duke called Monuts. I've been wanting to try it out, even though I haven't eaten a donut in years. I figured a place with a name that rhymes with donuts would be=, you know, a good place for donuts.

Pic related is the menu. Notice what word does not appear on the menu. I think they had about 8 different donuts in the case by the register: 4 cake and 4 yeast. Bullshit.
