God, onions are so fucking amazing, you have this hard smelly thing that you can just do so much with, you can turn it sweet sour make it bitter, everything.

today i cut up some onions to put in curry. i don't really mind the whole onion tears thing but the problem with cooking them is that they make my whole apartment smell like onions. i have to shut the door to the bathroom because all the clean towels smell like onions after shower in the morning if i don't. i feel like the somewhat bad ventilation of my apt is exacerbating this
