One of the oldest BBQ places in KC, Arthur Bryants, uses a hot pepper vinegar, paprika, mustard sauce that's not sweet at all. Gates bbq uses a red sauce but it's tangy more than sweet. I can forgive you, you're probably a texan who uses dried cow pies for their bbq smoke.
