i add milk then i whisk them for a minimum of at least 2-3 minutes until theyre a bit foamy. cook them shits low and slow until they're not glistening anymore, season, and they always come out perfect.
the french will whisk eggs for 10-15 minutes for maximum fluffiness.

I don't like those pre-formed hashbrowns, honestly the only way to make a good hash brown is to shave it yourself.
You can freeze them first, it does make it easier to get a crisp outside and a tender middle of the pile. I still like them right off the spud.
