You have two pretty nice sized rump roasts and you have volunteered to make a nice meal for your crush/gf/wife and her close friends and/or family. What is your menu? I was thinking of taking a shortcut and just doing like a beef bourguignon but what else can this cut of beef do?

If you have a sharp knife and a way to do very high heat cooking (either a grill, or a large cast iron pan that you don't crowd and a hot range), you could make bulgogi

grate a pear
microplane some ginger and garlic
little soy
little sesame oil
salt
little sugar
pepper
chilli powder

slice the meat as thinly as you can, verryyy thin
marinade overnight
put in a seive to drain

cook it as hot as humanly possible so it browns without overcooking, like 1 min

I'm assuming you're like me and in murkastronk? it's kinda hot here for what amounts to beef stew. dry rub that bitch and oven roast it till rare in the center, blanch, season and saute some asparagus(remember firm not mush) some potatoes au gratin and a nice loaf of bread. oh and don't forget the au juis and horseradish for the meat

Cut it into reasonable sized portions. Put in pan with butter. Cook it until medium rare. Add a small amount of black pepper. Put it on a plate and eat it.
It's beef, it's gonna taste good, don't over-complicate things.
