Why is British and German food so much higher up than Scandinavian food? We are by no means world class, but all Scandinavian countries have better food than British and at least on the same level as German.

One of my favourites is kålpudding, cabbage pudding. Basically cabbage mixed with syrup, put on top of ground beef and then put in the oven.

Pytt i panna, or "hash", is also a classic. Earlier, it used to consist of whatever you had from the previous days, just mixed together. What's popular now though is beef, sausage, potatoes, onion, a fried egg and beetroot.

Rotmos med fläsklägg. Fläsklägg apparently translates into ham hock or pork knuckle. Rotmos is like mashed potatoes except you add rutabaga, carrot and white pepper. Unlike with mashed potatoes you don't add anything dairy (milk, butter, cream).

Your pic shows how people from other countries view foreign foods, and the truth is that most people never get to taste scandowegian food, because there aren't many restaurants. A place opened in my city called Bog or something (no fucking clue how to pronounce it, beurg maybe?). Anyway, it's insanely popular, you have to book weeks in advance and the food is fantastic. tl;dr , people like it when they try it.

Also, bear on mind that /ck/ doesn't know about many things that you can't buy from a drive through.
