That's from the kebab joint near my place. It's run by bunch of friendly Turks and it's imo the best kebab in Wrocław. Flaws: their stuff costs 2 slavaridos more than usual and portions' size is average. And said Turks must be little bit lazy, their shop is often closed for no reason (they never open it at sundays, for example). Still, the taste makes up for all that.

Most of the pictures in this thread are not real doner kebab meat. Its minced meat (cheaper).

Anyway, belgium has by far the best doners, and with the godly beer combos its perfection. But again, you have the know the places that use the real stuff.

Yeah but you guys probably pay 25 euros for a small kebab bro. Im a turkroach living in belgium. Im a big critic. If the place uses minced meat as their base it immediately goes into the trash (the main reason why vast majority of german doner is shit and why its cheap). For every good spot here there are 2 bad ones, the ratio is much worse in germany. Dunno about your place. Not that its a unique issue to europe, some places in turkey also use that.

Anyway, tons of us in lelgium and we made our shit really good to appease wh*te men. I assume the same happened there. Lelgians like their sauce and have tons of them so that also gets added to the idea here. Together with a good Belgian yellow beer its a good meal, if you go to the right spot. For example i dont understand why someone would put those big white cheese blocks on their kebab, it doesnt flow. Vital elements are shredded ice lettuce mixed with shredded pickled red caggabe. Without these 2 its garbage. The rest can be up to personal choice. Cucumber doesnt flow well imo, a couple pieces of tomato are welcome yadda yadda

>>12714058
here this picture, look at those big ass slices of onion propped into one side, and some red shit i cant see on the other, all the sauce on one side, nothing on the other side, no cabbage, fucking disgusting piece of trash, i wouldnt eat it if it contained eternal youth

>> No.12715599

Couldn't be more wrong.

Both gyro and kebab are traditionally made with beef or lamb.

Kebab has peppers and onions and a creamy garlic sauce whereas gyro is a cucumber and dill based sauce with lettuce and tomato.

Gyros are superior in every way, btw.

yeah this is the number one thing i look for when i decide whether or not to eat at a kebab place.
if there's actual slabs of meat on the spit then it's alright. if it's just a giant loaf of minced mystery meat then it's inedible.
