I'm not going to say which pizza joint I work at, but I will tell you that we do not use gloves. They become filthy too easily and get annoying far too often, so we just wash our hands every now and then between pizzas.

They're surprisingly lax about cross contamination and hand washing as well compared to even regular fast food places. Their idea is that it's going through a 450 degree oven for 5 minutes anyway, and nothing will survive it, and they're right. Still, hand grease and hairs aren't destroyed by that level of heat haha

I found gloves to be really counter productive. When you're wearing gloves you can't tell how dirty your hands are getting and you end up cross contaminating way more then if you just rinsed your hands regularly.

When I worked at a grocery store deli where gloves were mandatory by our internal food safety board, idiots would just keep their gloves on after dunking their fists into sauce bowls and shit and tracking grease and sauce all over the fucking place without changing their gloves, and then not realizing that grease and sauce is all over the fucking place because they're touching everything with gloves. Maybe it's just laziness too but if people had to work barehanded I'd guarantee they'd actually fucking clean and wash like they're supposed to.

Also hair nets are fucking worthless, they don't do shit. They only exist to humiliate workers into looking like jackasses while hair gets into food anyway. At most you should just bun up your hair if it's long.
