Where is CK from?
What is your quintessential local food?
>Cape Cod, Massachusetts, USA checking in.
>Baked haddock with a cup of clam chowder

>> No.12902562

I'm also from Mass but I haven't had clam chowder in almost a decade now. Feels bad.

I stay here because the cost of living is laughable and I use all the money I save on travel. Plus the scenic country we have is pretty damned hard to beat. Almost makes you forget about the inbred, red-state Mormons that make up most of this state.

Saratov, Russia.
I doubt we have any quintessential food, may be only some kinds of bread. Here "craft" dogs we had some time ago.

Reminder that more than half of posters on /ck/ are from Alberta and /ck/ is officially an Alberta board. Y'all don't know what's gonna hit you when Berta soon gains its independence and becomes a food super power as well as an economic one. Our cultural influence will be so powerful that prairie oysters will be as common as mac and cheese in most parts of the world. Better start kissing ass right now to get on our good side ;)

Doesn't look that bad. I would try a bite. Never had black bread dog buns before. I bet with some spicy mustard, it would be very good.

What would a "Slav dog" look like, I wonder?

I would wrap a hot dog in garlic-dill mashed potato and fry it in sunflower oil. Then I'd top I'd server it on a large thin slice of buttered black bread with mayonnaise, fried cabbage and a few thin slices of pickle.

What do you think? I'm going to try it out someday.

Sausageswere better then normal dogs(but actully we almost didnt had them still 90-s, they are shit), like with normal meat and saucest. Toppings were rather cool: 4 cheses and halapegno/radish
