Bacon or sausage or ham, Eggs, hashbrowns, toast or pancakes or just toast with something spread on it is pretty classic all American, same with hash. Around where I'm from biscuits with sausage and sawmill gravy is considered a good breakfast, Chicken Fried Steak and eggs too. Oatmeal for when your life sucks. Coffee or tea as the hot drink of choice usually, milk or juice as the cold drink of choice. Corn bread used to be a breakfast staple but you don't see it much for breakfast anymore unless you're out west or in really rural old south.

Old South, when used in this context, is a geographic and historical distinction. It's any of the southern states that were also part of the 13 colonies.

Do you guys eat that way every morning or is there simpler meals you make when you don't feel like doing a full table spread? I wish I had Turkish friends so bad. We have "Silog" browned garlic fried rice, fried meat and eggs usually. Sometimes with ketchup if it's like fried hot dogs or spam. My dad does just deenz and rice.

Not everyday unless you are on a holiday with your family or something of course but even our normal breakfasts tend to be more extravagant than most
So just the same thing with less options
Bread, some kind of cheese, some variation of eggs, be it hard boiled, an omelette or what not, tea and some kind of sausage, especially sucuk, a spicy turkish thing if the family can afford to have that often
I would say these are the thinhgs you would find in an average breakfast table over here
There are lots of regional stuff and things you would arr or remove depending on your taste, like eating simit instead of white bread, adding different kinds of jam, butter etc.
