I also advise you to just watch the part with the ingredients, the guy can get pretty annoying, and he does an asmr bit at the end. I tried out dozens of fried chicken recipes over the years, this is the one I was like "That's the one".

Chicken stew is not at all common at restaurants other than soul food ones. Generally restaurants will be most likely to serve the chicken stew as a pot pie. I do make chicken stew at home, eventhough I'm white.

There was nothing noteworthy about CFA's chicken sandwich and being the most generic item on their menu, it isn't a surprise it's the #1 sold item there, but CFA was always known for their service first which is why it's so damn successful. Political journos who have been seething nonstop over CFA because of their politics have had nothing that could counter CFAs success so when Popeye's unveils a new chicken sandwich, of course they're gonna hype it up as the second coming of Chirst out of pure spite.

And yet despite that, it's single NYC franchise sells the most sandwiches a day than any other. CFA was always successful because their service is good, their store is clean, and their food is cheap and worth what you do pay for. The thing about the chicken sandwich I think probably has to do with Chic Fila already being something of a meme because of the gay shit, and Popeyes being a funny word for a restaurant...I don't know, but it's certainly not because chicken sandwiches are anything new.

Know who's been selling good chicken sandwiches for years? Arby's, nobody cares, they simply exist. KFC chicken sandwiches are pretty good too, nobody cares.
