i used to make this flan that was one cup condensed milk, one cup heavy cream, one cup milk, 2 eggs and vanilla extract but i cant fucking remember how much suggar to add and i lost the recipe and it made the perfect flan

Yes, yes it is. I saw someone do it on youtube. You let it cool completely before opening. Most of the canned food you buy has been heated this way but those easy-open cans are more likely to pop. You can do it with it slightly open too, just takes longer.
