Eggs are miracles.

A bajillion evolutionary chances, or an act of god, led to intelligent life on this planet. But it took another bajillion evolutionary chances, or another act of an extremely benevolent god, to put intelligent life on the same planet as eggs.

Western baking and saucemaking would be impossible without eggs. Egg whites aerate up to eight times their original volume. Eggs form a film that prevents baked goods from drying out. Eggs emulsify. Egg yolks make the perfect pastry cream. Eggs surround us and penetrate us; eggs bind all baked goods together. Eggs would be amazing if they did even one of these things; instead they do all of them.

Eggs taste great on their own and in so many forms. Scrambled, soft-boiled, hard-boiled, omelettes, fried, over-easy, baked into weird Japanese shapes. Perfect alone, or embracing everything from bacon to soy sauce to onions.

The fact that if you get a little bit of yolk in your whites, you can scoop the yolk out perfectly with a piece of shell, is amazing.

Eggs are miracles.

eggs as a food improve my life substantially it is crazy to think about. As someone who generally tries to be vegetarian, eggs are the food that makes me feel the worst about consuming ethically (second to dairy products) but its really one of the foods I would find it very hard to give up.

Extremely fast to prepare, delicious, and healthy. Adding an egg or two to an otherwise lackluster or unfilling meal usually makes it perfect. Waking up and making a hearty breakfast of eggs makes you feel great for the rest of the day.

Miracle food desu.

Are canned quail eggs any good? They'd be more of a morale item, but I think they'd be a good protein to store in case of a hurricane or something o break up the monotony of beans, deenz, and canned meats.

I think there's some bullshit law that says they have to write that if they show the product in other other form or setting than how it looks straight out of the container.
So if the pic shows the egg with a sprig of parsley next to it you have to write "serving suggestion" to prevent some piece of shit from suing you over the parsley missing from the tin.
