When I was young I was always pissed at my mom for forbidding us 'sugar cereal' outside of birthdays and such. As an adult, Jesus fucking Christ was she right, I'm not a proponent of the nanny state normally but it should be fucking illegal to market shit this sugary to children as a normal breakfast.

I've had lucky charms ice cream from a local dessert parlor, and let me say that it sounds good on paper, but is horrible once you actually eat it. The marshmallows get all soggy and gross, and the oat pieces actively detract from the flavor of the vanilla ice cream

I'm playing devil's advocate here, since there are only a few actually good ice cream flavors in reality, but i bet just dumping some cereal in churned ice cream would have a different textural result then whatever they're doing in the general mills food lab to make a special extra fortified version for this product.

It's pretty much all advertising at this point, which kills off local competitors in smaller towns working smaller jobs when they cant afford to put two advertisements for their busines or product on every single jewtube vid you watch.
these guys are paying millions of dollars a month just to make you think about food, or politics, or money and the connection of houses and cars, loans to school, etc.

It's much better to get a complimentary higher quality ice cream or gelato and then top with cereal for crunch. Put whipped cream on and the dist with cinnamon, cocoa powder, or crushed cereal depending on the cereal you choose. Dulce de leche goes well with Cinnamon Toast Crunch. Vanilla goes with everything. Chocolatey ice creams are great with everything but fruity flavors.
