No need to be that angry about it. Bombay's a good gin both neat and mixed.

my problem with bombay is that no one carries just regular bombay anymore, it's all bombay sapphire.

sapphire is good in things outside of classic martini, good for new-wave cocktails/martinis.

If you like a more classic drink, you need to go to a better bar, most GOOD bars will carry both sapphire and normal bombay.

Muh cracka!

Long time Beefeater imbiber, switched to Gordon's because it's half the price and still drinkable on the rocks. If you're doing GnTs it's Gordon's all the way because price. I loves me a good Beefeater Martini tho.

I don't get your joke, but I'm reminded of how a couple years back, Bombay accidentally released a batch of very overproof gin in Canada by accident. It was only 80 proof on the label, but 152 proof in the bottle.
Shame they never went and released an actual overproof gin. That would have been a hell of a drink.

Bombay's alright for mixing but it's too sweet for sipping or very dry martinis IMO.

>you might just not like gin
Not liking Beefeater doesn't mean not liking gin. There's plenty of differences in flavour between brands and how it's served.
Unless it's Gordons. That stuff is lighter fluid.

I'm 6'9" and over 300lbs: I can do a handle in an evening easily, but I'm also an alcoholic.
Having a high tolerance is really nothing to be proud of. Drink for enjoyment, and try new things whenever you have the chance. Savour the flavours and sip slowly.
