KFC in canada used to do Twonnie Tuesdays. They've pivoted away from that when the price of two piece meals steadily climbed up from $2 to $2.50 and eventually $4 over the years. They now offer a $14 8 piece bucket meal deal on Thursdays.

Oddly enough both my college and high school had fried chicken every week but it was on Wednesday instead of Friday

I feel like tacos are a once a week food but fried chicken with biscuits and gravy is a one a month thing

At least for where I went it was a "southern" thing since we had a lot of out-of-country and state transfers. For the rest of us I think it was for a comfort food homestyle thing. That or it's part of the whole *college experience* thing. We did have sushi nights which was pretty good though.

Why did this bother you, I wonder?

I can see limiting the mole night to once a week as a special. It's a pretty labor intensive kind of thing where once it's done, you're out of it.

In my flyover state of Wisconsin supper clubs do Sunday broasted chicken dinners. Usually a 4 piece with mashed potatoes, stuffing and a veggie. Leftovers for work the next day are great.

Because fried chicken is a Sunday thing. Are there no Baptists where you live? I pity anyone working at a KFC when 1 o’clock rolls around on a Sunday.
