It's like people who's only knowledge of cooking is "well-done bad!" think that everything has to be undercooked to be """juicy""" because they're too stupid to realise you can cook meat in fat, it will cook all the way through and still retain fat.
In fact, for beef burgers specifically most of what is lost through cooking the meat is water and not fat anyway. When they talk about "juice" they literally just mean blood and water.

I might suggest trying thick cut bacon next time when making a single patty burger. When I use thin bacon it kind of gets lost in the burger but some nice thick cut gives you a more pronounced flavor and texture. I would definitly eat the shit out of your burger.

Personally Feel like lettuce on anything is an incredibly overpowering flavor. I think I have weird taste buds because lettuce is mostly crunchy water and I definitly enjoy a good salad on the side but when combined with other ingredients all I end up tasting is lettuce. Raw tomatoes I just can’t stand the texture of. I usually eat my veggies by themselves rather than mix them into other foods.

The bacon is hickory smoked so the bbq sauce matches with it perfectly. I also think bbq is just a better condiment on a burger than ketchup. Ketchup is so boring where as there are a near infinite amount of different bbq sauces to choose from.

Yeah, but hamburgers shouldn't be either.

First of all, I'll admit that my preferred way to cook hamburgers is to loosely form the patties about 1 1/4 inches thick, cook them medium, and then let them rest for five minutes.

However, that is with the knowledge that it isn't necessarily safe. When cooking a steak, the bacteria that can cause serious problems for you are going to be on the surface. When you cook the steak, even if rare, the surface should be cooked enough to kill what is on the surface.

When grinding a hamburger, whatever was on the surface gets mixed in with the entire hamburger and cannot be killed by cooking it rare. If you want to have the best chance of getting everything, it needs to be well done.

There used to be a lot of talk about using radioactivity to kill the bacteria in and on meat. I don't know if they actually do that, but if they used it to kill the bacteria in your hamburger, than cooking it rare might be safe.

As it is, I tend to take my chances but don't pretend it to be as safe as cooking it well done.

Nitpicking capitalization? At least try to not speak in incoherent broken sentence fragments. And what you said was

> and any cookbook you could possibly own is obsolete.

Is the farthest thing from suggesting print media is somehow obsolete. Suggesting that’s what you meant is a long stretch. But then again you didn’t even properly punctuate the two different thoughts you were expressing in that post so really what can you expect? Learn 2 English language.

They're not going to use alpha or beta emitters to sterilise food, unless their plan is to actually give everyone leukemia.
EM radiation is much easier to control, penetrates the food, and doesn't leave any potential radioactive material behind.

Exactly. None of those are alpha or beta. Gamma and x-ray are EM which is produced non radioactively in this case, and electron beams are thermionic non radioactive emissions.
