Don't know it personally but if it's no charge and not an actual debit/credit card, it's worth it. The exchange is always just personal information and shopping habit info. If you don't care about the store knowing your name and where you live and what you buy, it's free money.

District manager is a tool.
When I lived in D.C. where privacy is paramount for every kind of customer, include the fact that government workers and IT people know that big brother stuff is bad, as well as illegal to charge different prices for different customers (fact), then you should have informed the manager it was illegal.

Myf first apartment building when living in Northern Virginia in the 90s, had a punchbowl in the lobby of the building full of the key fobs from all the area groceries, pharmacies and stores doing that. They were registered in names like "Abe Lincoln" and "George Bush" of course. Fake. It was one way around the problem not to argue.

> ethanol free gas

No such thing. The same fuel trucks used to transport ethanol are also used to transport “ethanol fee” gas, thus ALL gas nowadays has X% ethanol in it.

This is why so many people’s lawn equipment breaks down, as the ethanol in the gas eats away at the fuel lines and this results in tiny pin holes that allow air into the fuel and leans out the carburetor and the lawnmower or weed whacker won’t start.

Automotive fuel lines are ethanol resistant but lawn equipment manufacturers are still using the cheeper old style fuel lines, so replacing them with new fuel lines usually fixes the problem.

>as well as illegal to charge different prices for different customers (fact)

no its not Price discrimination is the practice of charging different persons different prices for the same goods or services. Price discrimination is made illegal under the Sherman Antitrust Act. 15 U.S.C. §2, the Clayton Act, 15 U.S.C. §13, and by the Robinson-Patman Act, 15 U.S.C. §§13-13b, 21a, when engaged in for the purpose of lessening competition, such as tying the lower prices to the purchase of other goods or services.

If different prices are charged to different customers for a good faith reason, such as a an effort by the seller to meet the competitor's price or a change in market conditions, it is not illegal price discrimination. Merely charging different prices to different customers is not illegal, when there is no intent to harm competitors.

Some comments:
i) that's a rather rare behavior, only occurring among ~10% of dogs.
ii) they aren't burying the poop, they are scratching the ground. Dogs who scratch do so for both doo-doo and pee-pee.
iii) the scratching serves as some sort of territorial marker, not only is there a visible scratch on the ground near their shits and pisses like "yeah nigga i did that", there is also a pheromone gland in the hind paws that adds an additional scent marker to the scratch

Even if it doesn’t have a drop of ethanol in it, gas will “rot” if it sits too long and gum up the carb.

> I mostly always make sure to run all of my equipment dry at the end of the year to avoid it

Me too, but the ethanol is in all gas nowadays, so using your lawn equipment means running it thru your fuel lines and eventually, they’ll develop micro pinholes and the mower or whatever won’t start.

If that happens, replace the fuel lines and it should work fine after that.
