Now that the dust has settled, what is the general consensus on fish and chips?

>> No.13817340

It would be better with fries instead of chips.

Chips look like crap. Get some Doritos or something.

When it's done well, it's great. When everything is tossed en masse into lukewarm oil by a lazy paki and ends up soggy and undercooked, it's shit.

Not racist, just don't like em.

Generally delicious. But when we got fish & chips from a chain shop in downtown Dublin (of all places), the fish was full of bones. Any Irish or even britbongs care to comment? Was lazy immigrant labour likely to blame, or was someone taking the piss because "tourists"?

It happens sometimes. I remember I had fish and chips in Brighton once and I got a fish bone stuck in the roof of my mouth. Put me off it for a while

I like it. Some tar-tar sauce on top and it's fire

fish and fries taste good. what is there even to discuss? this is just an eternal brit bong bait thread where they defend their one good food that the rest of the world already has their own version of.

god I hate you snaggle tooth fucks. go make a 4chan.co.uk

Thanks for the response. At the time I was more timid and just thought "maybe that's how they do it in Dublin." In hindsight, probably my mistake for giving custom to a shop that looked like McDonald's, instead of looking for a nice crusty old cart in an alley off the Quays.

Carbs aren't bad if you work them off. Obviously you're a lazy fatass diabetic so they're the boogieman for you.
