Could someone recommend me how to learn more about tea? I have been experimenting with various loose leaf teas now, but I want to delve deeper. Can you recommend me a good guide, books; any source is welcome. Thanks!

Why do people act like there are these big schisms in the book writing food community? You pick up a book, you read it. There is no secret.

Some books are better than others? We could profit from other's experience on picking up a book?

Rather than static books on tea, why not research tea-producing areas through importers and such? Allow me to spoonfeed you a bit.

Mei Leaf on YouTube is a good place for **info** on loose whole leaf, mostly Chinese tea as well as traditional(gongfu) preparation and its benefits compared to Western methods. Most people would not recommend buying from them exclusively given their price point.
/r/tea has a lot of guides too

I'm a tea pro, just drink tea. If you want best results look for tea that says "packed and made in sri lanka" or wherever that particular tea was produced, and don't buy repackaged ones. For tea, freshness is everything, followed by water quality, its temperature and steeping time.

This image is bad, what's so funny about tea?

>>13894643
Here it's much better, it could be interpreted as an elephant amongst tea leaves.
