Are those pieces of shit good for anything else except looking fancy? 90% of houses in Europe cook in electric/induction

They heat up a pan faster than gas. Look it up.

they're good for being fragile and hard to clean if you accidentally slosh a bit of food out of a pan without noticing and it fuses to the cooktop

Not all of them do. The modern ones are great, but the standard electric stoves are slow as fuck and are miserable for temperature control.

90% of the houses in Europe are old as fuck, so I'm guessing it's the latter for OP unfortunately.

Touch Control ist literally unusable as soon as a little bit of liquid is near the control element. Which is basically 90% of the time the stove is used.
I refuse to believe anyone really tested this kind of stuff.

Nobody used standard electric stoves anymore you amerigas. It's all induction now, and of course it's much better than gas stoves, there's no comparison. I can't afford to lose a whole afternoon and half a bottle of propane to boil water.

They are much easier to clean than a gas stove. You just have to use a special product, wait 20 minutes, wipe and it is like new again. Gas stoves are just impossible to clean since it's not flat.

>it's much better than gas stoves, there's no comparison.
Confirmed for never having cooked anything in your entire life
>I can't afford to lose a whole afternoon and half a bottle of propane to boil water.
We have this wonderful invention, you might have heard of it, it's called an 'electric kettle'.

>>13957768
>Gas stoves are just impossible to clean since it's not flat.
I think you might actually be retarded if you're incapable of cleaning a gas stove. How do you clean your own ass if it isn't flat?

inb4 you start crying 'reeeee fucking burger'. I'm not American.

Cheaper to use those, since mechanical parts that don't fail after being farted on are surprisingly expensive nowadays. And it's cheaper/faster for a factory to shit out component boards than individual mechanical parts with connectors.

No. Electric is absolute trash, takes way too long to heat up and controlling the temperature is impossible. Induction can at least heat up amazingly fast but it controls the temp by turning on and off which absolutely sucks for anything except if you're making a soup or just straight up boiling water. Gas 4 life

Electric and induction is an absolute scam. They work like shit and eat way too much energy. I pay less than 2 euros for gas every month and I cook every single day, I would pay at least 30 euros on top of my current electric bill if I had an electric stovetop.

Send in mfg warranty claim for replacement. Rinse and repeat until they realize, glass induction is balls.

The non induction ones at least are expensive and fragile
If you boil over something like milk it’s a terrible disaster

If you boil over sugar like sweet syrup and you don’t immediately get out the metal scraper to squeegee it off it literally pits the stove and permanently damaged it

If you somehow accidentally melt a spatula on it the top is fucked forever

If you drop a pan or something falls out the top cupboard it might shatter right through

Sometimes they just crack for fun

Sometimes if you get a little moisture on the Buttons the whole stove turns off

Id rather have a fcking electric hob
