No. Americans, especially the sweet tea and Arnold Palmer drinkers don't think about Brits in the least. My father-in-law refers to GA and the greater south as the "entire world" in his stories. Modern Americans have no connections to Brits at this point. The ones who are most aware of British culture or have any interest at all in it would probably be in New England. But even then, no one really cares. There's lots of romanticization of France and Italy. It's fashionable to bring French cheese plates and Italian olive oil and vinegar to parties on plates with the eiffel tower painted on them and stuff like that. It's annoying as fuck as there are people who refer to themselves as "Francophiles" (I knew some who did this) and use French words randomly. But no one ever does this with England and British stuff. At best we've got people with Irish heritage who like to celebrate that but the Irish are hated historically and no one wants to be like them. Brits fall even lower on the totem pole. I don't even have anything against Brits, but I hope this clears up where Brits fall in American culture.

Here's an anecdote to add to how little the average American raised with American state education knows or cares about Britain. My husband and I are weaning off coffee for several reasons, so I made some black tea yesterday for breakfast. He said it felt kind of effeminate to drink tea and like it's not a man's drink like coffee. I told him about the British empire, the East India Company, and wars over tea including the American Revolution in hopes that it would help him not associate tea with weebs and faggoty modern brits and euros. He legitimately had no idea many men fought wars and conquered nations over tea and how much it contributed to trade and the English empire. This makes my husband sound pretty dumb, but it's a reality that Americans don't know jack shit or care in the least about Brits.
