I view Japan's drinking culture as pretty good. Might not be the best, but it's up there.
>An abundance of karaoke with cheap refreshing lagers.
>Comfy stalls or izakaya with coworkers after work.
>Drinking/Sake during business deals.
>Many snacks that pair extremely well with alcohol, such as rice cakes w/ a dry beer.
Although, part of the drinking culture stems from the typically shitty working conditions.

You have no idea what you're talking about. Most Americans know what it's like to be drunk well before the age of 21. The sort of "taboo" nature of it lures kids into it far earlier on, or their parents see the 21 and older thing as archaic and give their kids booze beforehand, which is legal.

And I still ended up with a degree because we don't have an autistic culture that only allows you to succeed by selling your soul to a state or corporate system. I have a question for any Brits in this thread. I have family in Northern England, and when I visited them they took me on a pub crawl. I have to ask, what the FUCK is wrong with Norfers? Literally every place we went at least one tried to pick a fight with me, and they were all morbidly obese, freakishly unintelligent yet couldn't be more proud of it.

Huuuuge DUI rate here, everyones always drinking and driving. Theres no clubs, just dive bars where tatted wiggers always try to fight you. Girls drink those white claws, guys drink fuckin jager bombs and pilsner which tastes like literal piss. Abos will drink fuckin hand sanitizer.

Shits funny, last summer i stayed up north for a weekend camping, right beside some small shitty town and DISGUSTING indian reserve with every window bordered up and fuckin 13 year old prostitutes roaming. I stopped at the one liquor store, it was sunday at 9:45am and they didnt open til 10. There was a line up of probably 25 drunk indians drinking and fuckin partying. When they opened up everyone cheered kek. God i gotta get out of Sask.

well if you're drinking every day i'd strongly recommend tapering, so lets say you drink 5 shots a day, the next few days drink only 4 shots, the 3 etc. The lack of alcohol makes your body feel shitty but that is actually the easy part to get over, it's getting your mind used to being sober that is the hard part. Distraction is key, exercise really helps because it boosts your endorphins and tires you out enough to sleep. I'd also recommend some imodium for the diarrhea and some melatonin to help you sleep but just a warning melatonin + detoxing can give you some wild ass dreams

I'm pretty sure it's the same in pretty much every city across the US. There's usually a couple of the both the former and latter that are decent, but there rarely is a place that's cool. Not sure

I like countries where people drink slowly and actually enjoy the taste of their alcohol. Not drinking down pure ethanol like Vodka or Soju, which were both purposefully made to just get you drunk and shitfaced.

So countries with a good wine or beer culture are the best. Drinking """""""""""""""""""Cultures"""""""""""" that have a clear tasteless alcohol as its staple purpose-made to just get drunk (e.g. Vodka and Soju) are shit-tier cultures (not even worth calling a "culture").

>Grocery stores sell beer and wine and some states even sell liquor
most non-southern state sell all of these things

There are countless streams of data suggesting that a much fewer percentage of southerners drink, and nothing besides anecdotes from southerners on 4chan suggesting the south has

It is plausible, I haven't seen much evidence either way that the southerners who drink, drink in a similar manner to northerners who drink, but as someone from the midwest whenever I meet southerners (and even most west coasties too for that matter) who move here they are actually quite surprised by how much casual drinking is tied to every sort of social event

I'm not saying you don't drink more but from what i lived everybody got off work and have a case of beer everyday. Also i question any southerner that would move to the mid west.
Maybe it's because i'm from Appalachia which is largely Irish descendants mixed with the moonshine culture lead to a sub region of heavy drinkers idk but i do know western Carolina's are a lot different then eastern Carolina's. It's more relaxed out west whereas the eastern side is uptight and snotty

your preconception is straight out of Hollywood (maybe the midwest) acts like that around where i live, i'm not even religious and made that abundantly clear to my coworkers and they didn't care and invited me to a cookout at the church and even told me what time the sermon would be over so i didn't have to sit through it if i didn't want to. I showed up for the cookout and it was top notch. It's way more laid back then you were lead to believe or what you experienced in whatever flavor of church you went to. Norway probably has the worst. Alcohol in general is taxed really hard. Alcohol in bars is just ridiculously expensive. This has resulted in a fucked drinking culture. It's mostly binge drinking, so no drinking during weekdays, and then too much during the weekend.

Basically everyone meets for a pre-party, where everyone gets really drunk on store-bought alcohol, since its cheaper than getting drunk of bar bought alcohol. Then around midnight when everyone is really fucking drunk, everyone leaves for a bar or club. During this process, people disappear, and its a pain to get everyone to the right place. At the bar or club, about 1 or 2 drinks are bought.

Of course, people drink in various ways and some do casual drinking in bars, but this is the typical way young people drink.
