How the fuck are you supposed to survive on 2,000 cals a day!?!?

Instead of counting calories just cut out carbs from your diet. I'm not memeing keto or anything but by not eating carbs you'll avoid most common junk foods (chips, cookies, soda, fries etc)

It's one of the easiest ways for me to be healthier because you still fill yourself up on delicious meats and veg instead of trying to count calories and making your meals miserable.

For a healthier breakfast burrito, try something like this

>thin flat burrito style tortilla, 200 calories 5g protein
>2 eggs 140 calories 12g protein
>.5 tablespoons of butter, about 50 calories
>1oz cheese, 110 calories 8g protein
>poblano pepper, approx 50 calories

Cook your eggs in the butter obv, and at the same time broil your poblano pepper. Then chop it up once it's done and add it to your eggs, then add your cheese to your eggs or to your tortilla if you prefer it that way. Add salsa for negligible calories. 550 calories and 25g of protein!

Just start with less refined sugar.
You want something sweet, go for some fruit.
Instead of a giant iced cinnamon roll every day, maybe a moderately sized less iced cinnamon roll on the weekend.

Drink water. Eat slower (you'll feel full after your second helping instead of your third). Chew and taste your food. Go for a walk. Let yourself actually get a little hungry between meals.

>You want something sweet, go for some fruit.
Don’t. You should learn to overcome your addiction to snacking/sweets. Eat once a day and only once a day. That’s the only way to lose weight and keep it off.

Don’t listen to these skinnyfat losers/women who think they’re healthy but once they hit their early 30s will balloon up like mad. Humans aren’t meant to eat multiple times a day everyday. We went from grazing in Africa to using tools to hunt game. We didn’t evolve in the tropics, fruit is trash. We need meat and intermittent fasting. Cut out all carbs and only eat meat and vegetables.

anon, from a former lardass to a current one, here are my tips:

1. FIBER IS YOUR FRIEND. I live in SEA so I can get jelly pouches with fiber added. I literally have that and an iced coffee for breakfast, clocks in around 100cal altogether. You can get fiber supplements, or just eat more fruit and veggies. Shit is cash.
2. Limit your oils. I saw your recipe for the bfast burrito - DRY ROAST YOUR MUSHROOMS NIGGER. Mushrooms have so much water, you can just broil them for 10 mins then they're done. Toss the turkey (bacon?) in as well and you're sorted. No added calories. Added calories are your worst enemy and you need to watch that.
3. Limit processed shit. I even make my own goddamn hummus now because I can make it with way less oil. Even if it's higher calorie, when the processing is shit you can do in your own kitchen at least you know it's nutritionally good.
4. Snack on good shit. No chips, no store bought cookies. Make some good British flapjacks if you want a cookie - yes it has syrup and shit, but it's full of oats and will fill you up way more than a fucking Oreo. Obviously veggies and fruit are the ideal here - I like tomatoes with a little s&p, or maybe some Italian seasoning. Fuck all calories and you can mindlessly munch away.
5. Walk to your goddamn grocery store. If you can't walk all the way (either too far or too fat), then park/get off the bus a decent distance away. Not only are you getting more exercise, but it will limit your spends - no room for junk you don't need when you gotta carry it.

There's more, like going to a nice gym, drinking coffee with whole milk but no sugar (sweetener okay, just the caffeine + protein + fat combo helps and it's usually much lower calorie than, say, a breakfast muffin), and like others said limiting carbs.

Remember bro, it's a lifestyle change, not a diet. Make this shit comfy, and don't panic about not making mega progress instantly. Keep consistent.

>> No.14848438

>>14848421

oh, also, try going half-half when you're cutting carbs first. like, instead of full on cauliflower rice, do half real rice and half that. makes the transition easier.

you can also make food spicier - i was, as all brits are, a sucker for Proper Chips, so i just started doing em with crushed chillies or like, fresh chilli w/ onion and garlic and that helped bc i'd eat smaller portions but it still fuckin slapped

Your stomach is probably very stretched out. If you eat minimally for a week (or try something like intermittent fasting) your stomach will shrink down. Your body is used to eating large amounts of food, so you need to train it to eat small amounts. Don't worry, it isn't difficult.
Also, try dropping the tortillas. Tortillas have more calories then you'd think they do. If you're eating a lot of burritos and tacos, it stacks up.

egg whites (no butter, pam only if anything)
boneless skinless chicken breast (no oils or sauces)
broccoli
oatmeal (plain, or very little sugar)

these are all high satiety low calorie foods

but reducing calorie intake is a gradual process. keep track of the caloric content of everything you eat for a month and see what your average per day is. then undercut that by 400-800. when you stop losing weight, cut it down again. going slowly reduces risk of relapse or overdoing cheat days.

OMAD
eat a large meal at the end of the day 1,500-2,000 -- hard to break a calorie limit in one meal unless you're eating copious amounts of oil and sugar.

I hate dieting. I hate following stupid rules. I hate counting calories. I don't give a fuck about macros. OMAD and a couple of 48-72 hour fasts felt like cheating.

Don't tell your doctor, though. They'll think you're anorexic or tell you outright lies they personally believe about nutrition/diet. Lots of new information coming out about fasting.

You don’t ease yourself into fasting. It’s worse.

Think about it like this: With fasting, you fill your gas tank up from E to F every 24 or 48 hours. With a normal meal cadence, you fill your tank up from E to 1/3 3 times a day.

You approach is to cut out one of those refills, because you are too scared to go without eating and aren’t going to admit it. Consider my analogy: how do you think you are going to feel running around on fumes? You are torturing yourself.

Your body wants to use the fat reserves. Why do you think it stores it in the first place? You need to have the willpower to actually STOP EATING. That’s the only way you are going to engage ketosis.

Here’s what you will do: on Thursday you will have dinner, and then you won’t eat again until Sunday. A 3 day fast to break your fear. Then you SHOULD do 2 day fasts but even a 1 day (AKA one meal a day) will help you lose weight. I say do it over a weekend because then you can roll around and cry in bed and think wistfully about food and worry yourself sick without any obligations. You will do this and you will survive. You need to drink electrolyte water (google ‘snake juice’) and only drink that. Drinking straight water is actually bad, too much and you’ll make it worse by pissing out all your electrolyte reserves.

Just be conscious of the calories things are and eat less. Try to cook at least half of your meals so you have control. More importantly be realistic with it because if you hate the diet or struggle you'll never maintain low weight in the end and get it all back. First, depending on how fat you are, 2000 cals a day could be a big deficit. A typical weight loss diet is a 500 - 1000 calorie deficit (1 - 2 lbs weight loss per week).

Second, to achieve this deficit, you should eat food that makes you feel more full. Although you will still be hungry. The more liquid content, the more satiating food is. E.g. boiled potatoes > pasta > bread. Excessive fat can also use up calories without making you feel full, e.g. boiled potatoes vs fries. Vegetables are great at making you feel full.

You can gain weight while not eating carbs. You can find people doing the keto diet and saying they aren't losing weight because they blame carbs instead of overeating and don't understand how calories work.

Processed carbs are higher in calories and less satiating. Removing them from your diet is a good idea if you're having issues with your weight. That doesn't mean fruit and oatmeal is bad for you. If you have a reason as to why this is incorrect, you should post that instead of thinking a snide remark is going to convince someone of what kind of diet to follow.

Don't cook your eggs in butter, just hardboil them. I can go through a 3-5 egg omelette or scrambed eggs easily but it always seem I'm satisfied after just 1-2 hardboiled eggs. Cut in half with some dijon mustard is always good.

If you must have scrambled/omelette, yea, get rid of the 200 cal tortilla and add 1-2 eggs in its place. Then cut down to just one kraft single for the cheese which seems to impart more flavor of a similar amount of shredded cheddar. Maybe have 1-2 tortilla chip/s instead of the tortilla.

Add more veggies and cook them til soft. You can do a huge batch of veggies in a soup pot at the start of the week and just warm in the pan as you cook your eggs each day. Onions, red/green bell peppers and poblano peppers, tomatoes, green onion/scallions, etc. A moderate amount of prepared salsa, store or homemade, adds flavor. Also, fresh lime juice and cilantro. Love me some salsa verde. Check sauce aisle for good ones of that.

There are a bunch of low/lower/no-carb tortilla wraps out there, check those out.

Fuck all these tards sucking down hot loads of egg whites. They're worthless and wasteful and the thought of consuming that eggwhites-in-a-carton stuff makes me want to vomit. The yolks are fine, same with butter. Just count cals.

Look up "thefastingfatman" on youtube. Guy lost about 300 pounds in 11 months just water-fasting with multivitamin (and unnecessary apple cider vinegar) each day. Lost about 10 pounds per week. Look up the "refeed" info for when you start to add solid foods back into your diet.
