lets see if you know how to solve this little issue

Usually I would add salt. Can't really do anything with pasta, but there's nothing wrong with adding salt to rice after it's cooked.

Yes. Potniggers will say otherwise, but rice cookers are extremely useful. It saves room on your stove for preparing other parts of the meal, it doesn't have to be babysat or even thought about once you've pressed the button, and it holds your rice at a safe temperature until you're ready for your meal.

>> No.14923002

>>14922970
Pretty much this. It's hard to think of a meal that soy wouldn't blend okay with and you get the most even flavor, but as a back-up I might suggest some powdered chicken bouillon sprinkled over it and then stirred in.

Sprinkle gomashio or furikake. Or just eat it without salt and add sesame seeds is good too. Or maybe make it into tamago gohan.

I spent $170ish on my zojirushi neuro fuzzy. I love it. Keeps warm fresh rice for multiple days. Timer function to have fresh rice ready when I wake up or after work. And it always comes out perfect.

Plain rice is meant to soak up juices from meat, sauces, etc. It's perfect for this on its own, you don't need extra salt.
If you're eating rice on its own then you'll also want to add boullion, garlic, butter, herbs, go wild. Adding just salt to plain white rice really doesn't do much
