I'd prefer the thing to overall be a little thinner but it looks good. Lowkey convinced that the best burgers and pizza are cheap local stuff.
Not really a fan of the huge tomato slice, but I'll let it slide.

The best burger I had was $28. Kind of a ripoff but at the same time, it's hard to call the best you've had a ripoff, since there's not really a comparison.

That's not my suggestion. My suggestion is to cook the patty at least medium rare, replace the fancy greens with iceberg, replace the cheese with American or cheddar, add grilled onions and pickles, and use a regular hamburger bun not some dry artisan shit. You can keep the tomato but a single thin slice. Otherwise it overpowers everything else and makes the bun soggy. Why is it so difficult for people to make burgers.

Patty is just too large and I don't like the toppings. They are also in the wrong location. I like getting a blend of flavors when biting into a burger. They don't have to be smashed or anything close to it but thin enough that you can fit two of them on the burger and layer cheese and and fried onions between the two. Another layer of cheese and onions on top of the top patty and then put whatever condiments I feel like on the bottom and top and its done.

So really its just not the perfect burger for me but its probably fine.

burgers have 3 states, under cooked, cooked properly cooked and burnt.
Under cooked is unacceptable for anyone to eat because its nasty and raw ground beef isn't safe to eat like a blue steak because the bacteria is only on the outside of a steak and gets killed when seared whereas ground beef the bacteria is all mixed in and even if you sear it only the outside bacteria gets killed.
Properly cooked should be juicy but no red/raw meat.
Burnt is for weaklings the get grossed out by a juicy burger, while pathetic it's fine to eat that way.

Red doesn't mean raw. That's like saying a runny egg yolk in an over easy egg is raw, which it isn't. If your burger has no red/pink in it then it's overcooked, and will not be juicy. And again, medium-rare is the most popular burger temp (it's what's in the OP image and >>14933425).
