Went to college in FL and the only people who swore by Pub subs had never lived anywhere else. They are always disappointing for the price and how fucking long it takes the 65 year old woman that works at every single fucking Publix deli to make the sandwich. I genuinely believe it is because they only have Subways and Publix as examples of subs. The fried chicken is even more underwhelming because you have PDQ, Chickfila, and Popeyes in the same state if you really want chain fried chicken. Publix is also just a fucking bog standard grocery chain with underwhelming store brand items and everything is more expensive than it should be because of name recognition and it being the only statewide chain that even tries to clean the inside of their stores.
