I used to work in a supermarket and the issue with this is that more people than you'd think just blatantly do this to steal. They'll just put the empty can or container back on the shelf and not pay. And for the staff at the counter it is a hygiene issue. They now have to touch half eaten and drunk food to scan it. But above all, its just trashy and scummy as fuck. Like you can't wait 2 minutes in a store to stuff your fat fucking gob with literal stolen food?
