okay so basically it's the cheapest most generic frozen pizza we can get. it comes in big boxes of 20 and we sell about 10 a day. a whole pizza sells for $7 retail, $1.49 each or 2 for $2.49. most people get 2 slices because it's a deal and they don't want a whole pizza, but sometimes you get teens or stoners who want to munch.

anyway. it's the cheapest generic pizza we can get. toss it in the oven/microwave monstrosity for a minute and a half and it's done. cut into six uneven slices then serve. it usually stays fresh because we sell a lot and are always making more, but between mealtimes it sometimes sits for more than 2 hours. if it's fresh it tastes okay for a gas station. made from the lowest quality ingredients but frankly if it's hot and edible that's more than enough for most people. after all, it's a gas station. not a restaurant.

FastTrac actually has quality pizza, big fan of their breakfast pizza as well as their buffalo chicken. 7-11 and Speedway have good taquitos/mini tacos (it's either one or the other, it rotates). it depends on the gas station dude. there are some around me that make their own biscuits every morning. my roommate used to manage a few gas stations and they had the same skinny old black dude who came in at like 4 and made biscuits for 16 years or some shit. they also made fried chicken and breaded their own tenders. KFC started out as a gas station. one gas station near me has really great breakfast biscuits and that place is always so fucking busy in the early morning with day laborers stopping in. There was one gas station by my old apartment that was owned by an old Japanese guy. I don't know the name of the gas station but it had HAPPY FRIDAY printed really big on the front door and I just called it Happy Friday. The old man spoke no english but if you came in on a Friday he'd call out "Happy Friday!" when you came in the door and when you finish your transaction he'd say "Happy Friday" again as a salutation.
