Well yeah, i have no idea how it could possibly have been that hot but the paper just kind of melted around the burger. I couldn't hold it for like 20min. And it wasn't hot outside either. It was a cold winter. I still don't understand and feel like my memory is fucked because it feels so unreal.

I gave up on burgers years ago, MacDonalds, Burger King, Max, Frasses and a lot more but then Bastard Burgers came to town a year ago :D

Wow, they are so good :D we are talking about what a burger is,the core of a burger, real meat, top quality, seasoned, i mean they taste like the burgers i ate way back in the 80s when food were still food and not a lot of chemicals e numbers :D

Also none of the regular burger chains is in top 50 in Sweden, Bastard Burgers is in the top 8, the problem is that the topQ burger joints are like 1/1000 of the available chains and franchices.

We are lucky we have a top quality burger place in my town :D

Nearly all soy is farmed to feed to animals. By eating 1lb of meat you're essentially eating 12lbs of soy. You do understand how trophic levels work, don't you?

http://gentleworld.org/as-we-soy-so-shall-we-reap/
>About 85 percent of the world’s soybean crop is processed into meal and vegetable oil, and virtually all of that meal is used in animal feed. Some two percent of the soybean meal is further processed into soy flours and proteins for food use… Approximately six percent of soybeans are used directly as human food, mostly in Asia.

Humans consume less than 1% of the world's soy. Nice try though.

I remember being pretty impressed when I tried one thinking "wow, this really does taste like a real whopper!". After a little more contemplation though I realized that's not exactly a good thing considering BK patties don't taste like beef to begin with.

>> No.15170320

>>15170277
Yeah, that's the trouble I have with the comparisons, if the impossible whopper tastes better then the original whopper, then that's not much of a compliment because nobody goes to fucking burger king because the whopper and bk sucks.

>> No.15170337

what yall dont understand is that both the regular and fake patties are to be avoided entirely
you are what you eat, and that goes for cows too
they eat the same shit that goes into the impossible whoppers, which includes seed oils that are bad for your soul
that fatty acid doesnt get modified, just incorported
if you wouldnt eat a whoppers worth of soy or canola oil, then dont eat a fucking whopper either

grass fed beef is the ONLY acceptable beef

Literally used the deal to buy both and taste them at the same time. The Impossible Whopper was the worse of the two. Impossible Whopper is easy to tell apart because it barely tastes like people food and seems like it was coated/spray painted in chemicals to recreate the flavor than that flavor coming from the "meat" itself.

You do realize that soy is grown for human consumption? We turn it into soybean oil and then by weight 85% if the crop is fed to livestock. That's what the meal and the residue is.

I mean, think about it. I saw a vid where a guy made sunflower oil, it took him 5 lbs of sunflowers to make 1/4 cup, or 60 grams of oil. I'm not great with math but seems like cows are eating byproducts of processed food and turning into a higher value product (milk and meat)

This is kind of how it goes for almost cash crops; You get the oil/ethanol out and the rest goes to livestock.

You shouldn't even be giving uncooked soybeans to animals to begin with, its a waste, the cooking involved in extracting oil does 2 jobs, makes your oil for humans, and makes the feed proteins more bioavailable for the animals to get nice and fat on.
In a vegan world we would have a shitload of waste.

you dont have a basic understanding of metabolics if you think farmers feed their cows "proteins" to make them "fat"

cows eat the same same soy we do, and their fat is completely derived from the fats in the soy

if you are interested in eating beef fat that is not from grass-fed cows, then you are better off cutting out the middle man and just adding soy bean oil to shitty lean meat

>> No.15170778

>>15170735
:/ way to jump to conclusions.

I am interested in raising my own cows for meat. I talk to a lot of farmers and this is what I hear. Though feedlot cows tend to eat more corn than soy. Most soy goes to poultry and some to hogs.

Im more interested in pasture raising and grass finishing livestock, I will save money on feed that way. I also want to home slaughter and butcher because I'm a cheapass.

>> No.15170792

I'm getting more of a seared bite on the Impossible Whopper, than I'm getting on the actual Who- no no no no no no no no.... No please don't say that no no no... No. Nonononono. No no nono no no. NONO NO NONO NO NOOOOO. Ladies and gentlemen, I'm not gonna trip. I wanted to come in a 100% hater.

I'mma tell you off the top. I wanted to take a bite of this and be like 'ehhh nah nah it it'- I'mma just flat out say it; your Impossible Whopper BK, IS BETTER THAN YOUR ACTUAL WHOPPER BK. YOUR IMPOSSIBLE WHOPPER BK IS BETTER THAN YOUR ACTUAL WHOPPER BK. IT HAS A MORE SEARED TASTE.

IT'S MORE OF A COOKOUT FLEX. IT JUST TASTES BETTER. Get over here. You get back in the bag. BK. That bite is so flavorful my m- and the fact that it works so well, it literally compliments the lettuce. Like I'm not even mad that I'm bittin' up, and I'm not even mad, that I'm eating lettuce right now and tomatoes.

You can really taste the onion because the sear, on this plant based situation right here, it's so strong and you barely get onion but the onion's there so you get a crunch off it, with soft bun action and SBA? BK, YOU'RE ONTO SOMETHING, AND I LIKE WHERE YOU, YOU GOIN' BK, THE IMPOSSIBLE WHOPPER SON

>> No.15170827

>>15170778
i appreciate you man, its just that the concept of trophic levels is no joke; you are what you eat
All feed has fats in it, and corn and soy have similar ratios of fatty acid chains. those acid chains are not modified through the metabolic cycle before being incorporated into the fatty tissues of the animals.
when oils are taken out of soy and corn, the biproduct still has the same compositional makeup of fats. although cows may be getting less fats than before we extract oils, they are the same. protein is protein, and fats are fats. relying on feeding cows plant proteins to get them fat would likely hurt the cows digestion more than its worth, and would take much more feed than we already give them to make up for lost nutrients

No shit the corn hurts the cows digestion. Cows aren't meant to eat corn, it ferments in their guts. This is why most cows are grain finished. It's tough on their rumen and you basically feed them corn and slaughter them before the diet kills them.

But I still don't think meat abstinence is the answer. I mean, if you don't want to eat corn and soy, being a vegan is going to make shit even more difficult.

Like I said, I am interested in raising my own cows for meat, I already raise ducks for meat and eggs, and soon other livestock like geese and chickens. Probably rabbits too since rabbits are wonderful grazers who don't need grain at all.
