I've seen a vlog on Youtube where a Muslim guy was drinking raw eggs exactly like Rocky did for his pre-workout food. Yet people say "good luck with the salmonella retard", while others say it's good for energy

Which is it then?

Salmonella is only prevalent in chicken because factory farms keep them in tight quarters where they stand around in their own piss and shit all day. If your eggs are from your own chicken or a local farm they should be fine. Though even with normal eggs getting salmonella is extremely rare.

No, as long as you're buying from
FDA approved producers. I've been downing 8 XL raw eggs blended with 1/2 cup of heavy cream, 1/2 cup of full cream milk, and 1 tbsp of maple syrup or honey for a post-workout smoothie. I get my eggs from a local vendor because the ones in our supermarket tend to have yolks that break easily and I don't like that

I sometimes down a couple raw eggs when I'm hungover. It's just easier than cooking, and they taste like nothing so it goes down easy. It's also in its most bio-available state when raw.

That's not true, you only get about 50% of the protein from raw egg white compared to 90% of cooked. And they contain avidin which binds up some of the vitamin B.

It's somewhat rare to die of salmonella, and assuming there aren't like a bunch of strains and shit (and the adaptive immune system does its job) if you get it once you'll be immune.

You absorb less protein from the eggs if you eat them raw. So it's not worth it if you drink them for your workout.

Salmonella isn't a thing to worry about in developed countries, so as long as you live in Scandinavia you're in the green.

>> No.15212223

There is the slight possibility of contamination, but honestly it's not a huge risk if the chickens are well cared for.
I'm not a fan of the texture of completely raw egg myself, but a lot of people seem to like it.

depends on where in the world you live. in countries such as norway, or japan, where there are extremely strict laws and regulations in regards to poultry, salmonella is rare. in the US however, there are places where you're damn near guaranteed to shit your guts out if you don't cook your chicken and/or chicken-related products.

I don’t think your body builds immunity to bacterial infections

>> No.15212516

>>15212492
>>15211089
Well, on that matter, you can train your immune system against bacteria, but the problem is, bacteria such as salmonella make you sick primarily via chemical compounds they excrete.
So, while you can build immunity against the organisms themselves such that your body fights them more efficiently, they'll still make you sick because they're poisoning you chemically.
It's not like a virus where the only way it hurts you is by attacking your cells so if you build immunity to it, it stops effecting you.
