When I make Indian or Thai curry (Jap curry fucking sucks) or like, cacciatore I will always use breasts, but if I just want to eat some chicken with noodles on the side I'll use thighs. I feel like thighs are better alone, while breasts are better at absorbing external flavors and having a nice texture.

Thighs are good for any recipe where the meat isn't on display; things like stews and tacos. But for anything else thighs are too damn greasy. I was out of breasts to make chicken over rice w/ green onion sauce so I cut up some thighs and cooked them like they were breasts. It was disgusting. Aside from cooking down to too small a size, the thighs had this terrible, greasy texture to them that left a bad feeling in my mouth for like a day after I ate them.

Depends when and where but it's similar here in Canada. Last time I went out it was $12/kg for breasts and $14/kg for thighs. Not a big sample size, but it's a thing.

Thighs a best for anything where fat is needed, either for flavor or to keep it from drying out. Otherwise breast is best: easy to cook, consistent, low fat: it's white meat, plain and boring but also simple.

Having said that, just bought a pack of thighs. Gonna make a ghetto version of the Shawarma chicken meat you get at Lebanese places, with the spit and all.

>if so desired, re-apply some (un-tainted) marinade to outside of cuts and throw back in oven for layers and layers of browned goodness.

Throw some garlic sauce on this shit and you'll be selling carpets in the market before you can say "Mashallah brother".
