I'm hosting a LAN party this weekend, it's my first time to host and there will be 8 of us.
What are some good finger food options I could put on for the guys? We will probably order in some pizza so I'm thinking more along the lines of finger foods as we trade files and game.

That aside, I haven't been to a LAN party since the 90s. My vague memories include bags of McDonalds cheeseburgers, pan lasagnas from the local greasy Greek place, and the crudites that would usually take an entire jumbo bottle of ranch dressing before the night was out. Also, there was that one Polish guy whose mother would make cabbage rolls.

Me and my friends used to throw up to 30 person LANs and pool for sending his parents on vacation so we could use the whole house. We'd normally do it twice per year, but COVID ruined that. The only thing I'm actually upset about COVID related.

We hold it over 4 days. Pre-LAN, LAN, LAN, Post-LAN. We'll spend a few hundred on drinks and snacks in preparation. Pre-LAN is cracking open the snack foods/drinks or going out in groups/solo and buying your own food. First LAN day is grilling burgers and dogs, Second is ordering Pizza, then Post-LAN finishing off/taking home snacks/drinks/leftover pizza.

Only deal with cooking if you/others actually enjoy cooking, otherwise, stick to ordering out. A few LANs ago we held an alfredo sauce educational session to teach the non-cooks among us a simple recipe and it was nice. When we grill, we've got a core of 5 or so retards including myself who will focus on it, with others dropping in and out or focusing on games.
