Routine? What kind of rigid autist do you take me for? I eat whatever I have on hand at the time or whatever sounds good depending on whether or not I can afford to do so at the time.

>> No.15454231

that looks terribly bland
but for me, it's
>make big meal sunday night (this week is beef stew) that i can eat sun to weds
>lunch mon - fri is yogurt with a bunch of stuff added
>i don't eat breakfast
>eat out thurs and/or fri and/or sat night, or cook one-off or two-off meals for them
>bacon eggs and toast for lunch sat and sun
i'm pretty consistent with this

Fruit/veg smoothie made fresh every morning, and then a big meal cooked at night. Depending on what I'm making, it can last one night (like chicken, taters, and a veg), or it can last three nights (a big ol' dish of cottage pie or a large beef stew). If it's going to last longer, it's always stuff like casseroles, soups, stews, chili, etc. that can actually improve with another day or two rather than being gross like rice or pasta. Prepping a whole week is dumb as fuck.

I make dinner and lunch in batches that typically last 3-4 days since that is how many servings the average recipe has. I also coordinate it so that the dinner batch does not run out on the same day as the lunch batch so that I don't have to cook 2 things in one day. Then every evening on work days I make the next day's breakfast and pack the next day's lunch (which is the batch-cooked meal plus various snacks). I'll eat out maybe once a week on Sat or Sun. Like this I never have to buy lunch at work because it's disgusting trash that will make me a lardass.

>> No.15457311

I normally cook on Sunday a bunch of lunches to last until Wednesday-Thursday. Something that heats up well in the microwave like soup, fried rice, stir fry, etc. Dinner I cook when I get home. I meal prep lunches because theres just nowhere around my office that serves decent food- we're in an out of the way location so theres only greasy takeaways.

I don't understand meal preppers.
I enjoy cooking so I want to do it as many night a week as possible, but I can see how preparing meals for several days or even a whole week can save time for people who are busy or just don't like being in the kitchen.
But the shit they make is always so depressing.
If you're going to set aside time to cook only one day a week you could at least make something nice, maybe even something that takes a little effort, instead of fucking boiled chickenbreast and steamed broccoli.
The same damn ingredients could make a decent curry or stew that wouldn't make you want to die after the third day.
You could also make three or four different dishes and freeze them in portions so you don't have to eat the exact same thing every day for seven days in a row.
Their loss I suppose. I just don't get it.

Instant pot 3 kinds of beans, rice, mushrooms, cheese, corn served with hamburger taco meat. that lasts 4 days.

3 boneless, skinless chicken breasts served with instant potatoes and green beans is 3 days worth of food.

Throw in sporadic meals of Tyson spicy chicken patties and fries, chicken salad and chips, grilled cheese and Maruchan instant lunch, frozen pizza, steak and potato, steamed shrimp.

That's pretty much how I eat.
