Guy riding a big ass bike with a fucking pizza oven thing on the back. Sold his zas after concerts for $10 a pie to drunk starving vagrants. I had one once and it tasted like cardboard with tomato toothpaste smeared on. Offered the rest to a homeless guy and he said he wouldn't even feed it to rats. The vendor is apparently so known for his awful pizza that people warm others not to buy it when he's around

The Japs unironically make some very, very bad pasta. They’re good at cooking and can pull off legit high-end Italian, but pleb-tier Japs ruin it all because they have to cater to it if they want money. So you’ll get things like sweet spaghetti tomato sauce with salmon roe and lettuce and mayo pizza and really weird salads that make no sense at all but everything looks Italian. I think a lot of the time, they want to larp but want their own flavors (same way boomers larp with sushi).

I can say this: Japan inspired me to understand that tomato and salmon can go together on pizza (not in the way they envisioned) but the sheer weirdness opened my eyes a bit. A rich tomato sauce, smoked salmon, paprika, a scant bit of fresh mozzarella, smoked gouda, a fuckton of chive, and quality parm is really good, and I never would have stitched that together without the trainwreck that was a pizza of my own at a trendy place in Tokyo. I forgot my point.

was a pizzaiolo for a few years and I've had some terrible pizza in my time, at times it was even my own.
Worst I've had was at a place that Chinese run, it was unbearably salty, the cheese melted very strangely, and they weren't proofing their dough long enough.
I know it's a meme but it really did taste like I was eating cardboard soaked in sea water
