There are plenty of excellent bottom shelf vodkas that taste like nothing, Popov and Skol being the largest.

However, saying Takka tastes like Sobieski is a fucking farce.

There's good, cheap vodka that tastes like nothing and imparts no weird mouthfeel, and then there's the stuff that tastes like cheap gin somehow and is greasy as fuck.

BASED, good but cheap midrange vodka. Sobieski (Rye) has better value but Luksusowa (potato) is softer. I feel both brands struck a good balance in price to quality, any cheaper and the vodkas get really bad and any fancier is almost always a waste. A lot of the fancier more expensive vodkas are riding on their name, like Tito's or Grey Goose for example, they're mediocre vodka IMO

Ah, don’t worry about it, you have literal years to sort it out. That being said, whiskey halves your time remaining because of the extraneous shit your body has to filter. I consider Evans to be entirely underrated, but the calculus is you’re not drunk on it and have to suffer pissing and filtering 8 drinks out.

If you feel concerned about your drinking then you should cut back. Even if it's just to see if you're able to do it, you should try it.
All of it can spiral out of control after one simple mistake you make while drinking. That or you could become a functional alcoholic

Lower sugar cider is better. Angry orchard is new garbage. Traditional cider doesn't have as much sugar. It's better. More civilized.

It's not the point. I'm getting 24 hour bans by a passive aggressive janny who says whiskey is off topic.

A drink made from barley, corn, wheat, or rye is definitely related and there are so many styles of whiskey.

I mean there are always 3 active fast food threads, soda threads, and other asshat threads that are not deleted despite the whiskey thread always going over 300 posts.

It's like banning Zelda threads in /v/ because you don't like the series.

You get more oak influence from bourbon since it's aged in new oak as opposed to scotch whisky. With that in mind: Elijah Craig 18, Woodford Double Oaked, maybe Old Forester 1920? I'm sure there's more.
